Main Responsibilities:As Client Support Function (Process & Mechanical):
Represent technical expertise within the program organization
Coordinate technical requirements for the program across all sub-projects
Collaborate with project teams, commissioning units, and external stakeholders
Ensure compliance with standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements
Support commissioning and inspection processes
Act as communication hub between stakeholders (e.g., authorities, designers, reception teams)
Key Tasks Include:
Define and validate technical requirements and design specifications
Ensure all deliverables meet regulatory and quality standards
Assist with identifying necessary investigations and studies during design
Review technical documentation and drawings
Develop and maintain technical guidelines for process and mechanical engineering
Provide guidance on CE marking and documentation processes
Coordinate modeling and digital twin strategies for the system
Analyze input data needs (e.g., wastewater characterization)
Technical Guidelines Responsibility:
Develop general technical standards covering process and mechanical disciplines
Ensure guidelines apply to all system components of MAXIMA
Use existing materials from VA SYD and anchor them with subject matter experts
Additional Responsibilities May Include:
Lead modeling efforts for planned and existing systems
Explore integration of real-time/digital twin models
Define requirements for model inputs and tools/platforms
Support with ATEX classification, materials engineering, and documentation flows
Required Expertise (Must-Have):Process Engineering Expert:
At least 10 years of experience in process engineering, design, and instrumentation
Experience with wastewater treatment plants or similar industrial systems
Specific knowledge of MBR technology and thermophilic digestion
Mechanical Engineering Expert:
At least 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering and CE marking
Background in material engineering (specific to wastewater applications)
Experience with MBR systems, disc filters, thermophilic digestion, and pumping stations
Valuable Merits (Nice-to-Have):
Experience managing large-scale, complex wastewater projects
Operational experience in wastewater treatment plants
Familiarity with hydraulic and dynamic process modeling
Past roles as technical lead in wastewater or industrial facilities
Proficiency in CAD/BIM modeling
