With strong backing, a flat organization, and bold growth plans, We're now looking for two Legal Counsels to help drive our continued expansion and shape Qred Bank's future success.


About the role

This is a broad in-house legal role in a tech-driven environment where legal plays a central part in supporting the business. You’ll work closely with senior management and teams across the organization, with direct exposure to decision-making and day-to-day operations. This is a generalist role, covering areas such as commercial agreements, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, product support, and internal policies. As we grow, you’ll also have the opportunity to gradually specialize in the area that best aligns with your skills and interests.

Qred offers a dynamic, collaborative atmosphere where your work has clear and immediate impact. While reporting directly to the CLO, you’ll be part of a flat organization with short decision paths, and a legal & compliance team that works hands-on, proactively and closely with the business.

What you’ll do

  • Play a leading role in the legal part of product development and implementation, as well as geographic expansion.

  • Manage legal and regulatory requirements across diverse practice areas, including corporate law, privacy law, labor law, marketing law, regulatory filings and information requirements, contract law and IP law.

  • Perform legal research, draft legal assessments and memos, and conduct gap analysis to support the business across all functions.

  • Draft and implement internal policies, instructions and routines to meet regulatory requirements.

  • Draft and review various commercial contracts, data processing agreements, and partnership agreements.

  • Provide advice on relevant regulatory requirements and implementation procedures, with a focus on AML and GDPR in particular.

  • Monitor and communicate ongoing legislative and regulatory changes.

  • Manage key administrative tasks, including communicating with authorities and related reporting.

Most likely, you are/have:

  • A Law degree.

  • Up to 3 years of experience working in a law firm and/or in-house legal. department, preferably within the financial services industry.

  • Skilled in prioritizing and juggling multiple responsibilities.

  • You are ambitious and passionate about the role, with a willingness to find solutions and not be afraid to pitch in wherever needed. You like working in a fast-paced, innovative tech environment.

  • You are a true team player with a can-do attitude who enjoys problem solving.

  • Working proficiency and communications skills in verbal and written English and Swedish.
