Laboratory Scientist to Immuneed, a life-science company in Uppsala
Immuneed is providing services to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies and specialize in immunology and drug development. Our service is based on a unique technology developed through extensive research at Uppsala University and Immuneed that aims to make pharmaceuticals safer and better for patients.
We are now searching for a Laboratory Scientist to make our lab team stronger.
About the position
A Laboratory Scientist at Immuneed works in three areas:
- Being in the lab, performing the assays ID.Flow (a whole blood assay), flow cytometry, ELISA, Mesoscale, cell culture and others. Having responsibility for some of the processes in the lab, including method optimization. Taking part in maintaining the lab. Documentation according to GLP praxis.
- Analysing data from the lab using Excel, Graphpad and FlowJo. Making quality checks of colleague’s analyses. Producing result tables.
- Acting as project leader for the laboratory part of a study, including writing the protocols, communication with customers about their substances, leading the laboratory work associated with the study, delivering the analysed data to the report writers.

We are searching for you that loves to be in a lab. As a person, you are positive and curious, and you happily accept challenges. You enjoy working in a team and could step in both when a bin has to be emptied and to lead others when you are responsible for a study or assay. Further, you are flexible, as plans can change with short notice, and analytical and structured, as we are a GLP certified lab with high quality standards.
Qualifications
- PhD or MSC in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or related life science
- Substantial experience in laboratory work, 3 -5 years and with diverse techniques (from academia or industry)
- Experience that included problem solving, assay development and optimization
- Experience that included data handling, analysis and integrity
Experience in several of the following:
- Flow cytometry
- Whole blood assays, ELISA, cytokine release assays, cell culture, blood sampling
- Analysing flow cytometry results using FlowJo
- Statistical analyses
- GLP and SOP maintenance in a QMS
