In Nestlé Purina Petcare, we market and sell food for cats and dogs through the Grocery, E-commerce, and Specialist channels. MDO is a strategic function within Purina Petcare who identify category business opportunities based on category strategy and shopper insights, to drive sustainable category growth. As Grocery Channel Manager within the MDO team your main stakeholders internally are Purina Sweden’s Commercial team and MDO and marketing colleagues across Nordics. Externally, you will also regularly interact with our local retail customers.

This role is located at our Swedish office in Stockholm or Helsingborg.
Your overall responsibilities will include
Close collaboration with the Swedish commercial team and other MDO colleagues across Nordics, you will be leading the development of our grocery and value retailer customers in the Swedish market. This means that you lead the delivery of our grocery channel commercial goals by translating our strategy into annual commercial plans that drive category growth for the channel and our customers.
Your primary tasks will include:
- Contributing to the development of the Nordic Channel Strategy within the local market, while supporting the implementation of Purina's category strategy to drive profitable growth among grocery trade customers
- Leading category development based on market and shopper insights; defining category growth drivers and stories that align with retailers’ needs
- Creating input to strategic business planning and to campaign evaluations
- Monitoring both Purina and competitors’ performance, developing performance reviews on a regular basis
- Leading and maintaining channel KPI tracking in Monthly Business planning
- Owning the local assortment strategy incl. placement guidelines and distribution targets/follow-up while being a key contributor to our pricing and promotion strategy
Your Qualifications:
To succeed in your role as Grocery Channel Manager we believe you have:
- A few years commercial experience within FMCG
- A relevant Bachelor degree within Business (or similar)
- Previous experience from marketing, sales or category development
- Ability to work both in Swedish and in English
- Knowledge in Nielsen market data as well as interest in and knowledge of other data tools (such as PowerBI) is a strong benefit

As a number of your stakeholders, as well as your manager is based in various locations around the Nordics, you are able to work both independently as well as in a team.
