The Team:
You will be joining our dynamic and fast-growing European Small and Mid-Cap Equity Research Team. As part of our efforts to broaden sector-agnostic coverage across the Nordic region, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-quality, differentiated research that supports institutional clients in identifying market inefficiencies and uncovering compelling investment opportunities across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland.
The Role:
We are hiring an Associate/Senior Associate to be based in our Stockholm office. The role entails working closely with a Senior Analyst and assuming a broad range of responsibilities, including developing and maintaining detailed financial models, conducting comprehensive company and industry analysis, preparing written research reports and client-facing presentations, and aggregating and synthesizing information from a variety of sources to support investment recommendations. In due course, the role is expected to evolve into lead coverage of selected listed companies in the Nordic region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Senior Analyst in the coverage of Nordic Small and Mid-Cap companies
- Build, maintain, and update detailed financial models and valuation analyses
- Conduct thorough fundamental research, including company, industry, and competitive analysis
- Prepare high-quality written research reports, thematic pieces, and client presentations
- Monitor company news, earnings releases, and industry developments to assess investment implications
- Participate in meetings with company management teams, industry experts, and institutional investors
- Collaborate with colleagues across the broader European research platform
- Progressively assume responsibility for lead coverage of several stocks within the Nordic SMID universe
Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience in Equity Research or a transferable field, such as Audit or Accounting
- Excellent communication skills in English and at least one Nordic language (Swedish preferred)
- Degree/Master’s qualified with a record of academic achievement
- Accomplished in financial analysis, modelling, valuation, presentation building and report writing
- Highly numerate, analytical and organised, and proficient with Microsoft Excel
