Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a dedicated professional to drive reliability improvement initiatives, provide day-to-day reliability support, and systematically update preventive maintenance strategies. The goal is to ensure safe operations and maximize equipment functionality while minimizing failures. This role collaborates closely with plant maintenance, production, and engineering teams to achieve these objectives.
The position also involves managing technical CAPEX projects, leveraging international standards and internal best practices to deliver safe, sustainable, efficient, and high-quality mineral processing facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Reliability Excellence & Maintenance:
Lead and execute reliability improvement programs.
Develop and maintain reliability maintenance strategy documentation.
Implement Lean manufacturing tools to empower teams and enhance financial performance in collaboration with maintenance planners and supervisors.
Assess asset criticality and define cost-effective, proactive maintenance strategies.
Investigate operational events and equipment failures to identify root causes and prescribe corrective actions.
Project Management:
Participate in the planning, design review, and construction documentation for new facilities and renovations.
Develop life-cycle financial models for proposed technical solutions and prepare detailed project proposals and bid documents.
Coordinate the design, planning, procurement, execution, and closure of CAPEX projects, ensuring all deliverables are met on time and within budget.
Conduct risk management to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks effectively.
Provide monthly project status reports to alert management of any scope deviations.
Commissioning & Improvement Initiatives:
Support commissioning activities for upgrades, renovations, and new projects, including PM job plans, spare parts reviews, and maintainability evaluations.
Utilize maintenance improvement tools (e.g., PM Optimization, RCM, RCA, FMEA) and predictive maintenance techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, ultrasound, thermography).
Analyze equipment failure trends and ERP maintenance data to prioritize improvement actions and enhance site reliability.
Collaborate with maintenance planners to optimize downtime by appropriately prioritizing and scheduling interventions.
Team Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
Advise and support maintenance supervisors and managers.
Coordinate and motivate project team members throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage stakeholder expectations, ensuring alignment between internal teams and external engineering partners.
Maintain and monitor performance metrics and KPIs for maintenance and projects.
Requirements
Proven experience in reliability maintenance and CAPEX project management in an industrial or engineering environment.
Strong knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools, preventive maintenance, and predictive maintenance techniques.
Expertise in failure analysis tools (e.g., RCA, FMEA) and data interpretation.
Demonstrated ability to manage stakeholders and lead cross-functional project teams.
Excellent organizational skills with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
