This role will give you the opportunity to work towards some of the world's biggest hospitality suppliers. You will have the technical ownership for our three major distribution systems.
Choice Edge Central Reservation System (CRS) - Owned & developed by our franchiser Choice Hotels International (CHI)
Synxis Central Reservation System (CRS) - Owned & operated by Sabre Hospitality
Channel Manager systems (CMS) Currently RateTiger - Owned & operated by eRevmax
You will:
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and different hotel divisions to understand their business needs & requirements connected to the distribution of our hotels in the hospitality landscape. You will be supporting them to deliver on business strategic goals.
- Be the one coordinating meetings with the suppliers, writing, driving and securing technical & functional requirements towards CHI, Sabre & eRevmax, this to ensure that Strawberry is competitive in the digital distribution landscape.
- Lead joint initiatives & projects together with external & internal stakeholders towards CHI, Sabre & eRevmax.
- Gather and collect business requirements for increased operational excellence and revenue income in all online digital channels connected to the CRS’s and our Channel Manager.
Another important area you will be focusing on is AI and how AI will change the distribution landscape. You will be leading discussions & initiatives around how AI will change the way we distribute our hotels and how people search the web going forward, how AI agents will change digital sales & hospitality distribution in general.
Your most important stakeholders will be our Profit/Revenue department, Sales organisation, Operations/Hotel Divisions, Distribution department, Solution Architects and our Digital Engineering team.
This role will give you an opportunity to be responsible for your own domain and drive development and innovation together with your stakeholders. You will be able to learn a lot from working with different types of CRS suppliers and Channel Manager that will help you become an expert in the complex world of online hospitality distribution.
Key responsibilities:
- Keep up to date with trends & technologies within the distribution landscape
- Have a genuine interest in AI and how AI & AI Agents will affect the future distribution landscape
- Assist in negotiations with CRS & CMS vendors
- Lead, drive & plan meetings with CRS & CMS vendors
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand their business needs & requirements
- Have a clear overview of connected 3rd party channels and an understanding on how they connect from a technical standpoint.
- Secure timeline and delivery on new development items for both the functional & technical roadmap towards the CRS & CMS vendors
- Gather requirements from internal stakeholders such as Revenue, Distribution, Sales, Digital Engineering etc. align on priorities , write functional & technical requirement specifications
- Work closely with solution architects to set and secure the future architectural landscape for our distribution landscape.
- Act as a trusted advisor towards our internal stakeholders when it comes to strategic decisions and best practices.
- Initiate and oversee system improvements, development process, but leave configuration, setup & rollout to others.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Deep technical & functional knowledge around Central Reservation Systems (CRS´s) & Channel Manager systems (CMS’s) within the hospitality industry
- 4 years of experience in operational & technical work within any CRS or CMS
- Experience from working with functional & technical requirement towards CRS vendors
- Technical understanding on how CRS´s & CMS’s integrate with online distribution channels, fulfillment systems & other 3rd party related channels/systems such as Direct online sales, GDS’s, OTA’s, Wholesalers etc.
- Proven success in stakeholder management
- Confidence and ability to communicate and influence key stakeholders to support proposed development items, process improvements and operational decisions
- Proficiency in Swedish and English
- Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Familiar with industry technologies to be able to gather & present relevant data
