Assignment: Principal Data Domain Architect – Strategic Role in Scalable Data Architecture
We are currently seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking Principal Data Domain Architect to lead the definition and implementation of a scalable, secure, and future-oriented data architecture within manufacturing and powertrain domains.
This is a strategic role that requires a blend of deep technical knowledge and business insight. Your expertise will shape how data is structured, governed, and utilized to support digital transformation and enterprise growth.
Responsibilities
Enterprise Data Strategy
Define and lead data architecture strategies that align with business goals and technology roadmaps.
Develop architectural guidelines and frameworks for the long-term evolution of data capabilities.
Architecture & Governance
Design robust and scalable data platforms while ensuring alignment with enterprise data governance and regulatory standards.
Promote high standards for data quality, integrity, security, and accessibility.
Modeling & Integration
Translate conceptual and logical models into physical data structures that support real-time operations and analytics.
Oversee integration of structured and unstructured data across systems and domains.
Technology Enablement
Implement and promote the use of modern cloud-native data tools and platforms (especially Azure-based technologies).
Identify innovation opportunities and support the adoption of advanced data capabilities across the enterprise.
Leadership & Collaboration
Mentor architects, modelers, and engineers to foster technical excellence.
Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring alignment and clear communication.
Lead cross-functional efforts to define and uphold architectural standards.
Qualifications
University degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience.
Extensive hands-on experience in data architecture and modeling in large-scale enterprise environments.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Azure data services, including but not limited to Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake.
Demonstrated ability to architect end-to-end data solutions that are scalable, compliant, and business-aligned.
Excellent strategic thinking, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving adoption of architecture principles.
Structured and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
A collaborative and inspiring team player with a passion for continuous improvement.
