About the role:
- Whalar, a global leading creator marketing agency, have recently started working with a client in the tech space and are looking for a marketing freelancer who is immersed in local social and online culture to support with delivering the scope within Sweden.
- This role will be responsible for creator communication. They will be responsible for keeping Whalar up to date throughout the whole campaign process, offering excellent servicing. On the creator side, they will be sourcing, onboarding & coordinating creators, to deliver a set amount of unique assets.
Here’s what you’ll do day-to-day:
- Creator Liaison: Act as the primary liaison for all creators or talent managers within your specific market, keeping the Whalar team up to date at all times.
- Creator Sourcing/Onboarding: Responsible for sourcing all creators, negotiating their rates, onboarding them to the Whalar platform and getting them contracted.
- Creator Onboarding: Responsible for negotiating the creators rates, onboarding them to the Whalar platform FOAM and getting them contracted.
- Creative Concepts: Feeding into and advising on creators’ concepts, ensuring they align with the creator brief.
- Content Gatekeeping: Be the primary reviewer of creator content within your specific market. This includes ensuring compliance with the creator brief and providing detailed feedback based on guidelines within the Creator Brief.
- Data Management & Reporting: Responsible for working with the creators to ensure all the required reporting data is captured and then shared with the Whalar team.
- Documentation: Continuously keep campaign tracking spreadsheets updated and assist in storing any important documentation, such as creator contracts, throughout the campaign term.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
- Fluent written and verbal proficiency in English and Swedish is a must for this role
- Creator marking knowledge across Sweden
- Experience working with content creators and talent managers is preferred
- Previous marketing agency experience is preferred
- Have strong detail-oriented, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Have a solid understanding of the social media advertising ecosystem and an insatiable appetite for learning about industry innovations
- Appreciate and understand the value of creativity
- Be a curious self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and a proactive ‘can do’ attitude
- Experience and understanding of the creator economy and local market nuances in a wider global context
- Experience using workspace tools such as Slack, Google Workspace, Asana

In addition to all other terms and conditions as part of your participation in the campaign/project, you also agree to the following:
- Non-Solicitation. During the term of your agreement with Whalar/UpWork, and for a period of six (6) months thereafter (“Restrictive Period”), you shall not, directly or indirectly, recruit, solicit, engage, or otherwise induce or influence any third party which is, or was at any time during the term, a client, supplier, employee, or contractor of Whalar, or any other third party which has a business, agency, or employment relationship with Whalar or its affiliates and subsidiaries, in any manner which may discontinue or reduce the extent of the relationship between Whalar and such third party, including, without limitation, you shall not solicit any Whalar personnel to leave Whalar during the Restrictive Period.
- Public Statements. To ensure that Whalar delivers a consistent message about its services and operations to the public and clients, and further in recognition that even positive statements about Whalar, and clients of Whalar, may have a detrimental effect on Whalar in certain transactions and other contexts, any statements or materials about Whalar or its existing or contemplated programs, services, operations, employees, contractors, and customers that is intended for publication, shall be submitted to Whalar for Whalar’s written approval or disapproval in Whalar’s sole discretion, prior to any use in perpetuity. Without limiting the foregoing, this includes any statements you (or your’s personnel) wish to make on any personal (e.g., Instagram) or professional (e.g., LinkedIn) social media platforms, websites, portfolios (private or public), sales presentations, or other forms of publicity concerning Whalar’s or Whalar’s client’s business(es).
