Located in Kinda municipality, Östergötland County, Sweden, our fully integrated production facility manages the complete process – from parent reels to finished consumer products. Our high-quality parent reels, made with virgin fibers and strict hygiene standards, are exported globally – to customers in Canada, South Africa, Europe, and China.
We are now searching for a Converting Production Manager to lead the production of finished goods such as toilet paper and kitchen towels. This is a key leadership role within our plant, responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations while driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that production targets related to safety, quality, efficiency, and delivery are achieved in line with Sofidel Group policies.
- Lead, coach, and develop production staff, including training planning and competence evaluation.
- Participate in new product development and manage technical trials and product testing.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with the planning department to meet service level targets.
- Drive Lean initiatives and operational excellence across the production floor.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in production or operations management, preferably in an automated or process industry.
- Relevant university degree in engineering, production management, or similar field.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Fluent in both Swedish and English (spoken and written).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in paper converting or similar manufacturing environments.
- Previous experience in team or department management roles.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
