Your role and responsibilities
As a Service Contract Manager, you will play a key role in shaping and securing long-term customer relationships within ABB Marine & Ports. In this role, you are not only responsible for managing existing agreements but also for identifying new opportunities, driving negotiations, and ensuring that our service contracts bring true value to both the customer and ABB. You will be working at the intersection of customer success, sales, and operational excellence—making sure our global customers receive world-class service while ABB achieves its business objectives.
This position offers you the opportunity to work in a truly international environment, collaborating across borders with local ABB units worldwide. You will be the point of contact for some of our most important customers, ensuring their satisfaction, while also taking ownership of financial outcomes such as budgets, sales goals, and contract performance.
- Selling and following up on service contracts with global customers.
- Leading negotiations for new agreements as well as extensions and renewals of framework and service contracts.
- Working closely with local ABB units globally to coordinate resources and support customer needs.
- Planning, organizing, and prioritizing both internal and external meetings to ensure strong alignment.
- Holding budget responsibility for service contracts, including sales goals and financial follow-up.
- Coordinating with the Marine & Ports on-call team and call center for service scheduling and follow-up.
- Supporting the Service Sales organization in driving growth and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications for the role
- You hold a Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering.
- You are fluent in both Swedish and English, with strong skills in written and spoken communication.
- You have at least 2 years of experience in sales or a customer-facing role, ideally in a technical or service-oriented business.
- You bring a strong customer-centric mindset and enjoy working closely with clients to build long-term relationships.
- You are confident in negotiations and comfortable taking the lead in discussions with customers.
- You thrive in a collaborative environment, but also have the drive to work independently and take initiative.
- You are eager to learn and develop further, with a genuine interest in growing within ABB.
- You have solid knowledge of ERP systems (experience with SAP is a strong plus).
