We are now looking for a Consultant or Senior Consultant to join our team in the US.
About the market
Our US operation consists of 4 locations which are New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Washington D.C. Together, we make up one of the most successful, progressive, and dynamic business units in Business Sweden in the largest economy in the world.
We help Swedish companies enter and grow on the US market, understand market dynamics, identify local partners, appreciate the regulatory landscape, and build out their services or product offering. We support several industries spanning across Energy and Transport, Smart Industry, Healthcare and Life Science, Digital Technologies as well as Retail and Consumer Goods.
About the role
As a Consultant or Senior Consultant at Business Sweden your job will encompass a diverse range of tasks including both strategic, tactic and operational responsibilities where you will:
- Represent Business Sweden as a trusted advisor, finding solutions to our clients’ most pressing challenges in the US market
- Lead and deliver own projects of small to medium size, that provide support to Swedish companies in their international business development and expansion plans in the US
- Under the Project Managers guidance, oversee and contribute to multiple workstreams and project types, such as market expansion, sales support, stakeholder analysis and/or operational support
- Collaborate closely with project managers and the business development team to support in sales dialogues and processes, lead generation, and gain knowledge of pricing guidelines and structures
- With a problem solver mindset, you'll partner with your colleagues and propose solutions to deliver on our client’s most complex business questions
- Engage in client project dialogues such as check-ins and final deliveries, clearly communicating key project insights
- Contribute to trade and invest promotion activities
- Support in consulting skills training for junior colleagues
This role is hybrid and based at our Chicago or New York Office but you will be expected to work with our teams and clients around the world, as required.

Formal requirements
- Bachelors degree in Business, STEM, or similar field
- Minimum of 3,5 years of relevant experience from a consultancy firm or equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrated success in client consulting & project delivery in a deadline driven environment
- Experience working with management consulting or other advisory services in international markets
- A high level of proficiency in both written and spoken English
A plus
- Knowledge of the Nordics, and proficiency in a Scandinavian language is a plus (while not required)
- Masters degree in Business, STEM, or similar field

For locally employed employees the salary range will be $65,000-$80,000. If you apply from another country and are relevant for an expatriate arrangement, another salary level and associated expatriate allowances will be relevant.
