Who we are
We are looking for a qualified Configuration Manager engineers to join our teams within CSIR (Complete Software Integration and Release). We work within a subgroup to CSIR, Software factory, focusing on creating central Continuous Integration tool and flow and Configuration management tools and processes.
We need qualified Senior Configuration Manager engineers with long experience from Configuration management area, strong sense of urgency, an eye for details, structure and strong at taking initiatives.
In our Configuration management group, we work with both strategies that affect all of Volvo Cars Engineering, and SW development to automate some Configuration management areas, especially in the CI flow chain. Example to have automated SW traceability from complete level to SW component level.
Configuration management competences needed:
- Experience in handling Traceability for software in large projects
- Experience in handling processes for Version handling, and practical experience in Git, preferably in Gerrit
- Experience in handling processes for Change Management
- Worked with Branching strategies for large projects
For this role, it is important to work as a team, support each other’s, be able to take initiatives to reduce time in troubleshooting, come with innovative ideas how we can improve.
For this role you will be in the centre of receiving deliveries, quality assure the traceability of the deliveries before moving forward in the release process.

- Has substantial experience with Configuration management.
- Is not afraid of digging into technical areas that are new to her/him.

- Has investigative skills

- Has previous experience from VCC or other automotive companies.

Contract length: 12 months
Pay: Up to 550,00kr per year
