About the Opportunity:
Are you passionate about cutting-edge ASIC technologies and eager to shape the future of radio networks? Ericsson invites you to become a key player in our team, developing ASICs for next-gen radio products within the Product Engineering Unit Silicon.
As a member of our Silicon Systems team in Lund, you'll leverage your technical expertise in ASIC development and leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams across Ericsson's design centers. This key role requires a solid understanding of ASIC physical design techniques, enabling you to engage in all aspects of technology selection and development.
You will conduct early-phase studies to evaluate and select technologies for future ASICs, working closely with technology vendors to identify the optimal operating point for the best power, performance, and area (PPA). Staying informed about semiconductor industry trends will be crucial for influencing strategic decisions and maintaining Ericsson's competitive edge.
Additionally, as a member of the ASIC architecture team, you'll take ownership of detailed systemization aligned with product requirements and act as the technical lead throughout the entire ASIC development cycle.
What you will do:
In your role as an ASIC architect, you will plan, drive, and contribute to the following activities:
o Represent ASIC design team in studies, pre-development, and benchmarking activities around semiconductor technologies.
o Collaborate with fellow ASIC architects to guide the development cycle, from early-phase concepts to final ASIC productization.
o Act as the project technical lead, supporting and guiding Project Managers and ASIC/IP development teams.
o Represent Ericsson in meetings with ASIC technology and EDA suppliers, as well as in industry forums and seminars.
o Share regular updates on silicon industry trends to the entire ASIC design and product development community.
o Lead initiatives to foster innovation and improve processes within ASIC development activities at Ericsson.
Skills you bring:
o Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Engineering Physics, or related field.
o Around 10 years in ASIC development with a comprehensive understanding of the entire development flow.
o Competent in ASIC systemization activities translating requirements from concept to design.
o Experienced with ASIC physical design flows and toolsets.
o Strong communication and presentation abilities.
o Self-motivated with the ability to lead and make informed decisions, considering the broader perspective and product application.
