Responsibilities / Tasks
This role encompasses a wide range of tasks related to driving new equipment sales within the food application industry. You will oversee the entire sales process, from developing the market to building strong customer relationships, while also maintaining CRM accounts and managing commercial and managing negotiations. Your day-to-day work will involve close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, sales offices, and colleagues in the FHT (Food & Healthcare Technologies) division.
As you join us at our office in Gothenburg, you become part of our team dedicated to driving new equipment sales within slicing, packaging, preparation, and further processing. Together, we focus on developing the market and building strong customer relationships. You will be responsible for ensuring that our solutions meet the highest standards of excellence, achieving measurable sales targets, and contributing to our mission of engineering for a better world. This role also involves frequent travel within Sweden and abroad.
Furthermore, you will:
- Grow the market and sales pipeline according to GEA’s strategic sales process
- Send out sales quotes and communicate with customers and internal stakeholders
- Travelling to potential and existing customers and present and deliver impactful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the uniqueness of GEA’s equipment
- Set personal sales targets and achieve them
- Stay knowledgeable about industry updates and new data and ensure an updated CRM system
- Ensure customer feedback on offers and delivered machines.
Your Profile / Qualifications
The ideal candidate should have direct experience and/or a strong professional understanding of the food application industry. They should exhibit an outgoing, honest, and straightforward personality, skilled at establishing strong relationships with customers and colleagues across the organization, both locally and internationally. Moreover, they should demonstrate an ability to navigate diverse environments and collaborate effectively with stakeholders in your area of responsibility.
Moreover, we imagine that you:
- Have a proven sales track record of selling capital goods.
- Possess a strong external sales-oriented personality with team-player skills.
- Preferably hold a professional education as Engineer or similar with solid sales experience.
- Have good IT skills and experience working with and in a CRM system.
- Speak and write Swedish and English fluently.
