The role of the Global Operations & IT Learning & Development Partner is to manage and implement the programmes of work which underpin the L&D strategy which will accelerate the capability and development of our Global Operations and IT colleagues. The L&D Business Partner will ensure learning and development interventions are designed and constructed to the needs of the business and are built tailored to the needs of the culture, business and learner.

The Global Operations & IT Learning & Development Partner will own the execution of the programme of works as defined in the L&D portfolio. In executing the programme of work the Business Partner will ensure that any site, region, function activities are aligned and risk, issues are managed accordingly.

Typical Accountabilities:

  • Actively manages the implementation of the Global Operations & IT Learning and Development strategy including learning technologies, talent learning offerings, capability build and organisational performance in partnership with site, region, function learning leads

  • Design and build of learning packages / curricula to support business needs

  • Engagement with third party vendors as appropriate to support the design of learning packages / curricula

  • Accountable for portfolio planning and co-ordination of effort across sites/ regions / functions to manage the implementation of central offerings.

  • Ensures a consistent capability build across sites, functions, regions is implemented using the Global Operations and IT frameworks and that duplicative / redundant learning assets are retired as required

  • Supports and provides direction to sites, regions and functions to follow Learning & Development processes and standards when creating learning offerings and developing learning pathways

  • Ensures consistency of learning curriculums and pathways to accelerate individual performance

  • Supports the introduction/implementation of new or enhanced global Learning and Development processes, systems, tools into the respective business area

  • Provides coaching and support to members of the extended Learning network as required

  • Proactively benchmarks approaches externally to contribute to continuous improvement of the L&D processes

  • Ensures stakeholders are proactively engaged to support the relevant activities across sites / functions / regions

Essential requirements for the role:

  • Educated to Post Degree Level

  • Experience in Learning & Development with a strong background in project and change management.

  • Experience in learner-centred design / instructional learning

  • Able to influence Senior managers to enact change

  • Demonstrate strong communication and relationship building skills with the ability to influence others to achieve objectives

  • Experience of working across a networked team of people in different locations

Desirable requirements for the role:

  • Educated to Masters Level

Location of role could be: Gaithersburg, Macclesfield, Gartuna or China.
