Our journey towards responsible raw material sourcing is not new. With the newly established Raw Material Area we now have one leadership to drive the overall IKEA raw material strategy, we have integrated scope for responsible sourcing of raw materials and regional teams working on the deployment agenda across the business.
In Raw Material Area, traceability plays important role in our business process as below:
- Lead upstream traceability needs across raw materials.
- Support the process and capability development of traceability across Inter IKEA – focusing primarily on upstream traceability. Lead and support in relevant working groups and forums.
- Securing relevant traceability in upstream supply chains enabling responsible sourcing, market intelligence, risk assessments, value chain efficiency, and external communication.
We are now looking for a Traceability Leader who will be part of our team.
Job Description
As a Traceability Leader, you will:
- Define and lead the raw material traceability agenda including fiscal year action planning and long-term roadmaps. Present to the Raw Material Management Team for approval of prioritization of activities within the traceability agenda.
- Collaborate with our stakeholders to be updated on relevant industry regulations, standards, and compliance requirements related to traceability.
- Give inputs to Raw Material Leaders and the Responsible Sourcing Development team to develop requirements and routines related to traceability.
- Continuously review and enhance traceability processes in the Raw Material Area to improve efficiency, accuracy, and reliability. Seek feedback from stakeholders and monitor industry best practices to implement improvements and stay ahead of evolving traceability technologies.
- Support the process and capability development of traceability across Inter IKEA – focusing primarily on upstream traceability. Lead and support in relevant working groups and forums.
- Secure the learning offer for upstream traceability and conduct trainings to educate co-workers on traceability systems, procedures, and their importance. Promote a culture of awareness and accountability within IKEA Supply.

- Embrace challenges and comfortable navigating in the unknown and complex topics.
- Energetic, enthusiastic acting with sense of urgency and positive energy.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities, excellent communication skills and strong ability to build relationships and to influence and challenge in a constructive way.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Capability to manage and deliver large projects in a global environment.
Additional Information
The position is located in Älmhult, Sweden with a global responsibility. Älmhult has excellent commuting possibilities with hourly trains to Malmö, Lund and Växjö and an IKEA shuttle bus back and forth to Helsingborg two times a day.
