About the job
In this position, you’re our go-to person for managing purchasing activities in your region. You work closely with our Strategic Purchasers, Category Managers and other Sandvik teams to make sure we get the right products and services – on time, at the right cost and from suppliers who share our values. You’re responsible for handling both direct and indirect purchases – meaning that you identify opportunities, run tenders, negotiate contracts and make sure everything aligns with our policies and goals. You also keep a close eye on supplier performance and help resolve any issues that come up, whether it’s about deliveries, invoices or quality. Your job is all about building strong relationships, being organized, and making smart decisions that support our long-term strategy.
Part of your responsibilities:
- Support the supply chain, logistics and finance teams with contract execution.
- Keep our ERP system up to date and compliant.
- Help prepare for supplier audits and follow up on results
- Collaborate across the Sandvik Group to drive improvements and savings.
The location for this role is flexible within Sweden. However, we need your presence in Fagersta at least three days per week, as that’s where your team are located. Some travel may occur.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with experience of purchasing. Experience from indirect purchasing is a plus. Acting in a global environment calls for excellent English skills.

You have high agency and prominent interpersonal as well as communication skills, making you great at managing stakeholders. Complementing this is your drive, agility and willingness to adapt in an ever-changing environment – you’re motivated by continuous improvements and thrive when you get to lead your own work forward.
