About this opportunity:
5G and Cloud RAN are already a reality, and Ericsson is a leader in bringing these technologies to market. There has never been a better time for you to make your mark. A large group of skilled professionals is working energetically to turn 5G and Cloud RAN plans into reality. We are now seeking additional talent.
Our unit is part of RAN SW & Compute Platforms within BA Networks and is responsible for driving end-to-end Baseband software product development, with the expertise and capability to take full ownership of features.
As a technical leader, you will guide teams in developing 5G Baseband and Cloud RAN software products. The teams develop advanced signal-processing functions and algorithms within a cycle- and memory-constrained real-time environment. The test environment includes both simulated setups and true end-to-end scenarios, involving the Core Network, Radio Access nodes, and real or simulated mobile phones.
The Solution Package Driver (SP Driver) acts as a technical project manager responsible for leading a team to deliver a feature. Depending on the size of the project, one SP Driver may oversee one or multiple features. The team comprises development teams, test managers, study drivers, and other key talents required to deliver the feature end-to-end.
You will experience a truly collaborative and supportive environment with great colleagues. There are also significant opportunities to grow within your role and explore other roles.
Our unit RCE RAN Performance is primarily located across various sites in Sweden, Canada, China, and the US. This position is based at the Stockholm Kista site.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, systems, and programs to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables. The SP Driver holds overall responsibility for the content, timeline, and quality of the developed feature Solution Package (SP).
- Prioritize user stories within the feature SP.
- Lead the SP through all process milestones, from pre-study to final delivery.
- Support teams in committing to an end-to-end timeline for the items they undertake.
- Identify and mitigate risks and dependencies early.
- Facilitate effective communication among stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment.
- Measure and report on project performance, making adjustments as needed to ensure success.
The skills you bring:
- A strong combination of technical expertise, project management skills, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to break down and prioritize features into verifiable, deliverable user stories or smaller work packages.
- Excellent analytical skills to assess complex content and make informed decisions.
- Capability to understand detailed input requirements and grasp the main components of the technical software solution, which is essential to establish authority among senior software developers.
- Self-driven with a focus on overall results, including the ability to remove obstacles to ensure feature release.
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
