Job Overview:
Requires good understanding of concepts, principles and practices in commissioning, completions, and training as well as basic knowledge of other functions, such as construction and operations & maintenance.Applies understanding of the industry to improve effectiveness
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Development of programs, procedures, and activities necessary for the safe and efficient commissioning, repair, and maintenance of all plant HVAC equipment.
- Review and test the interfaces with Building Fire & Gas system.
- Works closely with the Construction group for installation completion inspections and accepting the completed works as deemed ready for pre-commissioning.
- Liaise with the Systems Completion Manager for systemization of drawings and validation of the HVAC data in the completions database.
- Participates in the Completion walkdowns, punch-list development and clearing of punch-list items by the Construction group or the Subcontractor.
- Review the HVAC content of the pre-commissioning and commissioning dossiers in accordance with project requirements.
- Provides HVAC input to the Commissioning Schedule.
- Provides HVAC input to scope of work subcontracted packages as required.
- Provides HVAC input for Spares, Consumables and Tools.
- Plan daily activities based on schedule requirements, procedures, and available work fronts.
Essential Qualifications and Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, HVAC systems or equivalent.
- Have pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up experience as a HVAC lead or equivalent, on at least 3 major EPC projects in the Oil & Gas Industry, Power Industry, or in Steel Industry.
- Minimum 10 years’ previous experience with HVAC equipment packages in the Oil & Gas Industry, Power Industry, or in Steel Industry
- Demonstrate a broad technical knowledge of construction and completion activities
- Familiar with ISO and EU Standards and Directives (PED, ATEX)
- Able to effectively communicate technical solutions and concepts to other engineers and non-engineers
- Must have good computer software skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
- Must have good organizational skills and be adaptable to the needs of various discipline groups
- Must have the ability to assess and communicate project requirements and expectations in a clearly defined, positive and productive manner
- Proficiency in English, Multi-language skills are a plus
- Has a valid driver’s license (for Sweden or easy transferable)
