We are seeking a compassionate, highly organized and dedicated individual to provide exceptional personal care for a Texas-based gentleman in his mid-80s, ensuring his health, comfort, dignity and well-being needs are met in the context of his exceptionally active business, social and travel lifestyle.
This is a live-in position, normally based in Houston, Texas, with on-site rent-free staff accommodationprovided (including utilities & internet). Extended travel to a vacation residence in Maine typically takes place during the summer. Staff accommodation is also provided in Maine. Estate vehicles are available
A background as a medic/paramedic/nurse or nursing assistant would be advantageous but isnot mandatory. Candidates with significant personal care, high end customer service or relatedexperience may be considered if comfortable performing basic care/medical tasks.
The successful candidate will join a team including executive assistants, concierge physicians, estate staff, and chefs, and will take primary responsibility for daily hands-on personal care.
While a healthcare background is advantageous, all prospective candidates with a strong client service background and a willingness to learn specific care tasks are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Valet assistance with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and fall risk awareness.
- Support daily routines, ensuring all health-related arrangements are seamlessly coordinated. These include medication organization, hydration, specialized dietary needs and monitoring, physical therapy and exercise.
• Assist with daily medication administration and device operation (ie hearing aids) and• Demonstrate proficiency with technology, including PC & iPhone use, Microsoft Office.
- On weekends: serve pre-prepared meals and perform basic cooking duties.
- On weekends: perform housekeeping tasks, including bed-making, and cleaning bathrooms andkitchens.
Work hours will be rotated but weekend work will be a part of the role.
