We’re seeking a seasoned Test Automation Lead with deep hands-on expertise and a strategic mindset. In this role, you’ll architect and drive automated testing initiatives across web, API, and SaaS platforms, ensuring the delivery of high-quality (re)insurance applications. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and report directly to the IT Quality Assurance Leader.
Your responsibilities will include:
Test Automation Architecture & Implementation
- Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks using ACCELQ or equivalent tools.
- Select appropriate automation tools and technologies to support testing across web, API, and SaaS platforms.
- Maintain and evolve automation architecture to align with changing product and platform needs.
CI/CD Integration & DevOps Collaboration
- Embed automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of automated tests.
- Optimize test execution for speed, reliability, and coverage within continuous delivery environments.
Test Strategy & Coverage
- Define and execute automation strategies for core (re)insurance products, including Bordereaux management, Policy administration, Claims processing, Underwriting workflows, Customer portals, Data integration and analytics platforms
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage aligned with business requirements and regulatory standards (e.g., SOX).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with business owners, analysts, and developers to understand complex workflows and translate them into automated test scenarios.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and release readiness.
Team Leadership & Mentorship
- Guide and mentor QA and QC team members on automation best practices, tool usage, and script development.
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the testing team.
Defect Analysis & Quality Reporting
- Analyze regression test results to identify root causes of failures and drive resolution with development teams.
- Track and report key quality metrics, including test coverage, execution rates, and defect trends, to stakeholders.

Your skills and abilities should include:
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in QA/testing with at least 2 years in a lead role.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in automated regression with web, API, and SaaS platforms.
- Strong understanding of insurance domain processes (e.g., claims, underwriting, policy management).
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Proficiency in tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA, Jenkins and Git.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and/or certification with ACCELQ or similar.
- Experience with Guidewire, DXC, Duck Creek, or other insurance platforms.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance in insurance (e.g., HIPAA, SOX).
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
