What you’ll do
Right now, we are looking for an Electrical Site Manager for our Energy and Power Distribution team.
As an Electrical Site Manager you will lead the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of our electrical systems at the Boden site. You’ll oversee high, medium, and low voltage networks, ensuring safety, innovation, and continuous improvement.
From developing preventive maintenance programs to driving investment decisions, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our infrastructure.
In this role you will lead an electrical team, including Electrical Operations Managers, Systems engineer, and electricians. In addition, the role coordinates the work of multiple contractors and service providers, ensuring that all activities are carried out to the highest safety and quality standards.
Specific to this role, the day-to-day tasks will include the following but as we are a growing company with very little silos between teams, other tasks might be included as well.
- Lead daily operations of Stegra’s electrical systems, ensuring reliability, safety, and seamless facility performance.
- Ensure electrical safety by developing best practices, staying compliant with international standards, and building a culture of responsibility.
- Drive continuous improvement through smart risk management, incident follow-up, and proactive safety initiatives.
- Inspire and grow your team, supporting skill development, ensuring quality contractor work, and fostering strong collaboration across departments.
- Shape long-term infrastructure by managing the full lifecycle of electrical assets—planning, preventive maintenance, budgeting, and investment priorities.
- Safeguard operations 24/7 with effective power distribution oversight and a resilient on-call system that keeps Boden running smoothly.
What you’ll bring
You’re curious and believe that real progress happens when we work together. You’re not afraid to challenge old ways of thinking - and you treat others with respect while doing it. At Stegra, we value people who take initiative, build trust, and help create a workplace where everyone can do their best.
Specific to this role, we would like to see that you can tick off a fair amount of the boxes below:
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical or Energy Engineering (or equivalent).
- Hands-on expertise – Proven experience with industrial electrical systems, ideally high- and medium-voltage networks.
- Background in leading teams, managing contractors, and fostering collaboration in complex facilities.
- Skilled in electrical safety management, risk prevention, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with budgeting, investment planning, and lifecycle management of electrical infrastructure.
- Confident with CMMS, SCADA, and asset management systems, combined with strong communication and team development skills
- Knowledge of English is required, Swedish a plus.

This is Stegra
Stegra is on a mission to change the global steel industry by producing green hydrogen, iron, and steel - with the goal of eliminating CO₂ emissions. Instead of coal, we use green hydrogen and fossil-free electricity, meaning our primary emissions will be water and heat.
By 2030, our ambition is to produce 5 million tonnes of green steel annually in our fully integrated, digitized, and sustainable plant in Boden, Northern Sweden - currently under construction. But this is just the beginning. Our expertise in green hydrogen will enable us to decarbonize industries beyond steel, paving the way for a cleaner future.
